24th – 28th August 2026, Dartmoor National Park
This seventh edition of British Isles Graduate Workshop (BIGW) will be in Devon, from the 24th to the 28th of August 2026. It is targeted at PhD students and postdocs but is open to applications from all. The workshop will provide them with an opportunity to collaborate under the guidance of experienced mentors in a suppertive, encouraging, and mathematically intense atmosphere. The format of the workshop is that three mentors propose three topics, split into six talks each, and participants sign up to give the talks. The meeting is held in-person only (no online option) at the YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. We will aim to have around 20 participants. Participants will be required to pay a registration fee of ~£100 (precise amount to be confirmed), and will receive full board (accommodation and meals) at the venue.
